Hot Zones

Cottonwood seeds and  fluffy white cotton particles from cottonwood trees are once again floating in the air and being carried by the wind. I looked around my community and found out that the neighbor across the street has a cottonwood tree towering over their house and  oak tree. Darn! I first thought the village we left behind last year with many cottonwood trees surrounding its threshold then to be amazed that there are cottonwood trees here too within from a close distance. OMG!

For those with respiratory illness and problems with breathing, those with asthma should better be aware that this time of the year when pollens and other stupid, annoying causing allergens can trigger allergies. First it starts with colds, stuffy nose, fever. People with roseacea, psoriasis, asthma, and sinusitis better protect yourself.

So what can you say about THE HOT ZONE 6 hours -episode of how an outbreak of a pandemic be handled properly and efficiently? Know what? From what I had seen on that movie-like series, the Military (Dr. Jaax who is a Military doctor, a Colonel and her high-ranking military officer husband and the rest of the military personnel + the CDC Director and pathologists) are not prepared for such outbreak of a pandemic. They don't have the right tools and experience. There's not enough budget that's why. Imagine Dr. Jaax who used her own family car to carry those dead monkeys to her laboratory. That was kind of stupid. Oops  sorry but did she ever think clearly that the monkeys were only wrapped in plastics and she didn't store them in an iced box. Then the leakage. The blood from the dead monkeys leaked from the car's back compartment down to the road. Dr. Jaax used bleach to stop contamination. What else? Dr. Jaax has an open wound on her palm and she conducted this experiment boldly and courageously. Not good? Bad ass woman! Next, "The Military" went inside the facility where those caged monkeys are so that they can experiment on them, take samples of tissues and blood to check if they are infected with ebola. They incinerated those monkeys after each test.  The hazmat suit they are wearing are sanitized plastics and they are breathing through the help of oxygen and with (oxygen tank behind them attached to their suits). They handled their job carefully but almost to the point of exhaustion and over fatigue. What if? What if one of those infected monkeys escape from being the cause of a huge pandemic? Anyway, in Africa where ebola outbreak had been historically documented where villages were burned down and lives eradicated so that other people can survive... are they sure of their findings? What could be the true nature of such an outbreak? Is it really ebola or they just panic. PANIC can cause so much lives at stake. Could it be that those families were just suffering from influenza and skin cancer? Boils coming out and all over their skin? Did they ever test the water's toxicity? Where the water comes from? Is there a volcanic or geyser surrounding the island or village? Could it be that their water is toxic? Could it be that the shell necklace they are wearing has bacterial consistency that affect their skin? Their personal hygiene is at worse because look at their dwellings and really if the problem is water everything becomes problematic. HOT ZONE! How hot that place? How hot is the boiling point? Who knows? Is that fiction? But it turns out a true story. It's hard to believe though. Whatever it is. I think the CDC and the Military should better have their proper tools, equipment, vehicles and most of all hazmat suits and those "plastic suits" are not the appropriate clothing for an outbreak. Those monkeys could tear them apart, fortunately the monkey's nails are not sharp enough. But what if ten monkeys are out there all at once running after you? (Remember those monkeys in India who live amongs the locals and they were everywhere walking, running and climbing freely in Indian village?) Humans should not live together with animals and if ever, better keep your domesticated animals such as your pets in better health free from causing harm to yourself. Even cats and dogs can give you harmful illness that you might regret later. Pregnant women should not pet animals or should not be around dogs and cats. Did you know that? Yeah, even dogs and cats!!!!!!!But to have monkeys around them? That's another incredible story of an outbreak. Controversial.

CDC Director who was more than aware of such pandemic and outbreak as he had experienced such brutal slay in African village that the politicians must listen to the Military and only then that financial budget was approved.
