My New Garden

After housework and other essential task yesterday I was able to do some gardening, watered the plants and then suddenly I decided it's best to plant those young tomato plants, chili peppers and those dragon tongue beans.

My husband came home and was kind of disappointed that I didn't wait for the soil. He wants to buy bags of soil with the fish compost and other components of a fertilized soil good for planting. In my thoughts, why buy soil when there is a soil there and you just have to weed out and cultivate it then dig and put a hole where those plants can be planted. I think he wants to plant those tomatoes right there beside the fence, but that's where I planted them anyway. I know less work for him at home and more work at the workplace. He is the breadwinner need i elaborate that to you...i hope not.

He kept the backyard in great condition as he mowed the lawn once a week and he bought a new water sprinkler to keep the lawn vividly healthy, fresh green and bright because water is the most important source of life for plants. When your eyes and vision are so tired the color green is a refresher and it calms you down. As if you don't know.

Now that those tomato plants are right there beside the fence and receive the nutrients, water, fertilizer, care from the gardener and what else could we ever think of to support its growth?

The other small garden plot for chili pepper, beans, strawberries. I know parang "sungka" yung plot.
Dude it's not a game. I just marked where those beans are. I think there are about 100 bean seeds in the plot and I don't know for sure how many will grow. Last year, my husband planted 50 bean seeds and only 8 bean plants grew and yield. Know why? Too many bad slugs and they were frequent guests at night at the garden. It would be an incredible miracle if out of 100 plants will grow from its 100 seedlings.

Here's one miracle story. I knew that I planted tubers of dahlias in this plant together with sunflowers and daisies then suddenly out of yin- yang another plant came out... to my surprise it's a potato plant. How the hell there's a potato plant in there? OMG! The Martian probably left his potato plant there to yield.

The blueberries are blooming like crazy and discovered one plant that I bought for my husband's birthday  last year will soon bear its fruit berries. Wow. That's good news.

The blackberries already have flowers and the raspberries will take more time to have flowers and berries. Only time will tell. Patience is a virtue.
