The standard of living in Canada is incredibly celestial high. It's not to be compared with the kind of living in other parts of the world. Probably, better to compare it with life in America. You really have to work so hard so that you can afford basic necessities, health care and most importantly dental care. While the rest of the world has "free" dental health care. Canada should conduct FREE CLINIC. Allow newly graduates or dentists from Philippines to do their "rural service here for free clinic." OMG! Why not? International Red Cross do that for free in other parts of the world, why not here in Canada? Are you reading this PM Trudeau?
Wonder why so many Hollywood stars are not College or University graduates. Why some rich, affluent families cannot even send their kids to prestigious schools and universities? Why oh, why? What are the requirements? Why in Philippines they are not up to the status quo or standard of living of the family, they are not after for the parents occupation for as long as they can pay for the student's tuition fees and only if they can pass the College entrance test. Why International students taking the seats allocated for local students? Why Canada are too compassionate on foreign students instead on their own citizens? Unfair? Bias? Trade deals? Anyway, I think that was investigated already by Mr. Peter Mansbridge long time ago because he was also surprised about the kind of system that prioritize foreign students instead of their own Canadian born citizens.
I was surprised that the famous TV host/celebrity also didn't even go to College but she was a successful TV personality. Why there are many College dropouts who are better in doing their jobs and they are famous and financially endowed. What's the secret?
Grab opportunity when it happens. When work is the one coming after you, take it with all your heart and minds. Better work first because after you graduate from College there's really no opportunity waiting or no work intended for such College degree that you worked on for many years. Weird!? That's what happened to most graduate students. Hard facts of life! It's the experience that matters!
Anyway, in other Universities whose requirement must be met in terms of awesome amount of finance as if they are to become the stockholders. Students should pass the academic tests and they preferred students who are athletic. They value the wealth those athletic students can provide their Universities. They believe too much in SPORTS. More sports, less academics? Of course it's business as usual. Business with profit.
It's funny though, when I was a University student my Economics professor would rather give emphasis on the academics rather than sports. It should be the first priority. ACADEMICS. You want sports? Build an arena or sports stadium and take your athletes with you. Leave the students in University who excel in Academics. It's a Dogsworld out there. You want to be a dog, join the Military. Be whoever you can be. Never give up! Don't give up!! Follow your heart and mind.
AMAZING RACE CANADA will start its premiere season this year to be hosted by Olympian athlete Jon Montgomery, sometime in June? I hope so.
